Franklin County Fiscal Court

Our governing body, Franklin County Fiscal Court is made up of the County Judge/Executive who is elected at large by the residents of the entire county and six magistrates who are elected by district.  The County Judge/Executive as well as the magistrates govern Franklin County on a four year term.

The first meeting of Franklin County Fiscal Court for calendar year 2008 will be on Thursday, January 10, 2008.  Thereafter, meetings may be held every three weeks on alternate days of Friday           morning with the work session at 9:00 a.m. and Court convening at 10:00 a.m., and on Thursday evening with work session at 5:00 p.m. and Court convening at 6:00 p.m.  With advance notice, on an as          needed basis, the Fiscal Court may schedule meetings at different days or times other those outlined above.  Fiscal Court meetings are held on the third floor of the Courthouse Annex        located at 315 West Main Street, Frankfort, and are open to the public.  Work sessions are held in the Conference Room (Room #303) and court meetings are held in Room #301.

The Fiscal Court Clerk prepares agendas and records the minutes for Fiscal Court Meetings.
